Art on the Square

One of the Midwest’s most popular and highly regarded outdoor celebrations of the arts will return to the Capitol Square on Saturday, July 12 and Sunday, July 13, 2025, as MMoCA presents the 67th annual Art Fair on the Square.

With its mix of music, entertainment, and outdoor dining, as well as over 500 artists exhibiting paintings, prints, photographs, sculpture, jewelry, handmade clothing and accessories, and fine craft, the fair draws nearly 200,000 visitors to Madison’s Capitol Square.

Mystic Outdoor Art Festival

August 9-10 | Saturday: 11AM – 5PM

LOCATION: Mystic River Park, Mystic, CT.

ADMISSION: FREE.

The two-day Mystic Outdoor Art Festival is the oldest, juried art show in the Northeast region. The Mystic Outdoor Art Festival serves an audience of art enthusiasts, as well as weekend visitors from the local surrounding communities, New England, the Tri-State area and beyond. The trail of artists begins in downtown Mystic and follows the Mystic River into the shipyard of the Mystic Seaport Museum. The festival showcases close to 270 artists from around the country with over a mile of fine arts and crafts including oils, watercolors, photography, textiles, sculpture, woodwork, acrylics and more!

37th Laudholm Nature Crafts Festival

September 6-7 | Saturday: 10AM – 6PM, Sunday: 10AM – 4PM

LOCATION: Laudholm Campus, Wells, ME

ADMISSION: FREE for member, $10 for non-members

The Laudholm Nature Crafts Festival is a juried event highlighting many of New England's most skilled creative people. It attracts thousands of visitors who appreciate their fine work. The event is held every September on the weekend after Labor Day. Music and food round out the festival, which is a major fundraiser for Laudholm Trust, the nonprofit that supports the Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve! 

Smithsonian Craft2Wear Show

September 26-28 | Friday & Saturday: 10AM – 5PM, Sunday: 10AM – 4PM

LOCATION: Smithsonian Institution Arts and Industries Building

Smithsonian Craft2Wear is a three day show and sale of the finest in American contemporary wearable craft and design, held in the beautiful National Building Museum in Washington, DC. Visitors will see works from artists from across the country in three categories: Jewelry, Wearable Art and Accessories. Serious collectors and casual shoppers alike will find one-of-a kind works in all price ranges.

Paradise City Arts Northampton

October 11-13 | Saturday: 10AM – 6PM, Sunday: 10AM – 5PM, Monday: 10AM – 4PM

New England’s most extraordinary show of 220 of America’s finest artists and makers. Stroll three airy buildings filled with the best in fine art, craft and design. Enjoy sensational food by local chefs and craft cocktails in the Festival Dining Tent. Take in the themed exhibition and walk the sculpture promenade. All ages can participate in the exciting mural project, use an antique letterpress, and create charming finger puppets. This fall our Silent Art Auction benefits the Chamber of Commerce of Northampton. Held at the peak of fall foliage season, this event features three days filled with a breadth of exhibitors and activities that will keep everyone enthralled and entertained. 

Temple Beth-El Artisan Marketplace

This marketplace is a quaint and beautiful collection of handmade goods by a group of 25 local artisans. This is a lovely event perfect for the family and located on the East Side of Providence just off Blackstone Boulevard. In addition to artists and their wares, there will be a small book fair and bagels and other delicious goods for sale. Parking can be tight, but the short walk down the street will make this event worth your while! 

Snow Farm Seconds Sale

November (3 weekends) 14, 15, 16 & 21, 22, 23 & 28, 29, 30

LOCATION: Snow Farm, 5 Clary Road, Williamsburg, MA 01096

ADMISSION: $8 in advance, $10 at the door

Every year at the end of the workshop season Snow Farm transforms the dining hall and studios into spacious galleries featuring work from over 250 artists. There are so many treasures – in glass, ceramics, clothing, jewelry, baskets, wood, cards, prints, ornaments, and more. There is so much artwork with new pieces every weekend!

BAZAART American Visionary Art Museum

Capital Winter Art and Craft Festival
